Why The Ford Bronco Has Independent Front Suspension

The 2021 Ford Bronco has been criticized by many for lacking a solid front axle like the Jeep has had for decades. Ford instead adopted independent front suspension, otherwise known as IFS for a multitude of reasons. Jeep believes that a solid front axle is superior for rock crawling and difficult off-roading. Ford has instead decided to focus on ride comfort, off road speed and overall livability.
