Meet Ken Evens, playing a safety-critical role as a safety incident investigator at EUROCONTROL's Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC)
👉 Ken started out as an airline pilot ✈️, but adversity forced a career change. At MUAC, he investigates Aviation Safety incidents – where his in-depth understanding of pilot procedures is a key forensic strength.
💬 Sometimes the controller doesn't really know what's happening in the cockpit – as a former airline pilot, I can bring that specific knowledge to bridge that gap.
With 4 pilots across 3 generations in his family, it's clear that aviation is truly in Ken's blood - inheriting a passion for flying from his father that he has passed to his own children 👨👧👦!
