Day 8 – A ride I’ll never forget.
Today, we set out to conquer Uming La, the world’s highest motorable road at 19,024 feet. But nothing came easy.

We started our day at the Nyoma Army Base Camp, with no petrol and zero idea how to move forward. Thanks to Vipul Bhaiya’s call to his brother, we managed to arrange fuel from an Army regiment — after 6 hours of waiting and hoping.

With just enough fuel and a lot of faith, we left for Hanle. But the ride had more twists — a missing bike key, confusing mountain routes, and even a warning from a fellow rider couple: “Turn back, or you won’t make it.”

But we didn’t come this far to turn around.
We said one thing: “Dekhi jaayegi.”
