Parkinson’s disease research seeks to diagnose the disease as early as possible - before symptoms appear in what is called the prodromal phase. However, this raises ethical questions about whether people want to know their future risk of Parkinson’s and, if so, how this information should be given. Learn from researcher Eva Schaeffer, MD who will discuss the many factors at play, what the research indicates, and how medical professionals evaluate the potential impact on personal circumstances when making an early diagnosis.

Eva Schaeffer, MD is a neurologist and Deputy Head of the AG at the UKSH University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.
