Newsreel coverage of a B-25 Mitchell bomber that crashed into the Empire State Building on July 28th, 1945, killing 14 people. There is no soundtrack. Maybe this reportage was never included in an actual newsreel and never showed to the public in 1945 for war related reasons.
The film regards the destruction, both in the building and on the ground. The whole floor looks wasted. Curiously, there is footage of what appears to be a dead man, lying in an empty room of the tower maybe just pulled out and left there for authorities to pick him up. The US were in a critical moment of the war with Japan on June 1945 and due to propaganda purposes, in the news, very little relevance was given to this event and details were classified.
This pratically unknown material has been intentionally posted, as a double commemoration, on September 11th, 2011.
