Dulaang UP lights up the UP Diliman theater scene with Para Kay Tony, a powerful twin-bill tribute to its founder and National Artist for Theater Tony Mabesa. Nearly 50 years of legacy come alive through two unforgettable productions that honor the master who shaped generations of Filipino artists.
🎭 Kalahating Oras sa Isang Kumbento — Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero’s emotional classic about a young woman searching for solace, directed by Lloyd Sarmiento Uy with mentor Erika Estacio.
🏔️ May Katwiran ang Katwiran — Rolando Tinio’s gripping tale of a haciendero and servant facing moral battles and survival, directed by MJ Briones with mentor Charles Yee.
This tribute is part of Dulaang UP’s 48th season, “Paano umuwi nang may pagpapasya?”, leading to its historic 50th anniversary in 2026.
