VFR arrival into Kimberley Airport from New Tempe. Starting from the southeast TMA boundary reporting point 'Perderberg'. Descending to 5000ft on local QNH to route below the TMA to cater for IFR arrivals above. Thereafter at the CTR east boundary reporting point 'Olifantskop' before joining downwind for runway 20 for a touch and go.

Weather for the day. Low pressure system tracking from north to southeast from Botswana across the northern provinces allowed only for a local flight in the Free State. Western Cape and the like were CAVOK.

Traffic on arrival was very light however after executing a touch and go, routed for FAWM, lots of traffic en-route at higher flight levels.

Everyday is a learning opportunity. Noted errors here and there, all part of TEM concept when flying. Always good to debrief and grow from that experience.
