This is a video that took me one year to edit, mostly because it takes a long time to compile 10 years of footage of my dog to summarize his life in four minutes.
That was a grueling and taxing process emotionally. Some of this footage is from when Patrick was really young, and some of it was shot a few days before he died.
I wanted to celebrate his life by spreading his ashes over one of our favorite hikes the we did numerous times: Humpback Rocks in Virginia.
I miss my dog terribly every day. But I am grateful for having had the great experience of having him for 10 years. He completely turned my life around and help me become a different person. He did have a light in him that unfortunately had to burn out way too soon. But he was a champion and a fighter and the sweetest, funny, goofy and obedient dog. And I will always remember him that way. Please enjoy this video and hug your pets afterwards.
