"Meden Rudnik" is the newest and largest residential complex in Burgas. Its population is about 80 000 inhabitants. It is the largest residential complex in eastern Bulgaria.

Infrastructure:
The first panel blocks in the complex were built in 1976. There are five residential zones in the neighbourhood, and the new one (zone D) is currently being worked on, where modern, high-rise apartment blocks are being built. Meden Rudnik is the fastest growing complex in Burgas.

There are 4 primary schools in the complex ("Konstantin Petkanov", "Elin Pelin", "Nayden Gerov" and "Petko Rosen"), there are also technical schools of shipbuilding and mechanical engineering.

In Meden Rudnik there are shops, restaurants, nightclubs and grocery supermarkets. There are also places for recreation and sports (the pine grove, the Meden Rudnik Park, a sports complex, etc. The road to Sredets (Todor Grudov Blvd.) passes through the complex. There is also a bicycle path.

In 2007 a chapel "St. Dimitar the Great Martyr" was opened. In the vicinity of the residential complex there is a monastery "St. Mary", a beloved and visited place for recreation and entertainment in nature.

Transportation:
Meden Rudnik residential complex has regular transport to the city centre as well as to the outlying districts.
