We don't keep a boar for breeding on our farm. It is another mouth to feed. They can be destructive to your property, fences and buildings. The size that a boar will get to can harm the sow when trying to mount. They limit your genetics. By purchasing boar semen shipped to you, you have hundreds or even thousands of boars to choose from to diversify your herd and genetics.
In this video we talk about our experience of artificially inseminating our pig for our first time, how to do it, what to do, what to look for, what we've learned, when's the time, etc... Please ask any questions and we'll answer them. And yes, there were some methods in here that just simply don't work, we just thought they'd make a funny part of the video.
