Here is Ernie Carpenter's "Elk River Blues", played slowly, and then up to speed. I had a couple of requests from folks who had seen the "Streak of Lean" (the band I'm in) video, and wanted a clearer view of the banjo part.
Notice that there is no A-minor chord; the chords are simply G, C and D. Although some backup guitar players like to throw an A-minor into this tune, Ernie Carpenter said he preferred sticking with all major chords, and it sounds better to us that way, too.
