Family Life on Raw Texas Land | Why These Moments Matter

Life on raw land isn’t just about building — it’s about moments like these.

In this video, we spend a full day together on our Texas land, starting with the simple excitement of loading up the side-by-side and talking through the plans for the day. Spencer sits down with our youngest daughter for a quick interview before we head out — covering helmet safety, the day’s riding, and the very important question of whether she’s faster than her big brother.

As we drive around the property, Spencer shares why experiences like this are the real reason we bought raw land in the first place. Not long after, a completely unplanned (and very real) moment makes its way into the video when a door on the side-by-side pops open mid-ride — quickly turning into a laugh and a reminder that not everything goes according to plan out here.

From there, the cameras shift to drone and GoPro footage as the kids ride across the land, exploring newly carved trails and learning the property one ride at a time. Later, Spencer and I take a ride together while the kids continue exploring — the kind of moments that quietly shape family memories.

We end the day on foot by the river, walking along massive limestone rocks while the kids play nearby. The pace slows, the noise fades, and the stillness of the river takes over. The final shots pull back to reveal all of us gathered together by the water as the drone rises and the full expanse of the land comes into view.

These are the moments that don’t always make it onto a checklist — but they’re the ones that matter most.
