Day 48 & 49 of our overland journey from the UK to Australia 🇬🇧➡️🇦🇺
We leave Timisoara early and begin a long travel day across Romania, taking taxis and buses to reach Brasov. By the time we arrive it’s dark, cold, and we still have one more taxi ride just to get to our hotel, one of those travel days.
But over the next two days, everything slows down. We explore Brasov’s old town, warm up with good food and hot chocolate, stumble across an ice rink beneath the mountains, and wander past Christmas markets and the Black Church in the cold.
Sometimes the best places aren’t the ones you expect, they’re the ones that let you slow down at the right moment.

🎒 No flights. Just trains, buses, ferries and whatever happens along the way.
