Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Chairman of the National League for Democracy and member of the Myanmar parliament, has delivered a speech in the grand surroundings of the university's 17th century Sheldonian Theatre of the University of Oxford. She accepted an honorary civil law doctorate from Oxford University.
