As with many Generation Xers, I remember seeing MASH on CBS, and watching the reruns. In my case, it was usually after the 10 p.m. news that I tuned in to watch the show throughout the mid-80's.
I happened to be by Malibu Creek State Park on a recent visit to the Los Angeles area and decided to take the 2.1 mile hike to the famous outside TV set and take some video. I hope you enjoy it. Of note, the indoor shots were filmed on Stage 9 at Twentieth Century Fox Studios in California.
The park is located four miles south of Highway 101 on Las Virgenes / Malibu Canyon Road. Latitude/Longitude: 34.1033 / -118.7331 about 25 miles from L.A. The park is part of the Santa Monica mountains near Malibu in Calabasas.
