SteamWorld Heist II - Part 7/14 - Nintendo Switch ~ Glacier Gulf

I absolutely loved the first SteamWorld Heist. I had played it because I had also loved the first SteamWorld Dig. But Heist just blew me away. I played all of the other games in the franchise after that (except for Build), even on stream, but unfortunately I wasn't uploading to Youtube back then, so those streams are lost to time. Maybe I'll replay them one day.

SteamWorld Heist II is way longer than its predecessor. It's a big game. It took me nearly 35 hours to complete everything. It's also a tough one, but it never feels unfair. I managed to max-star all the levels. Didn't buy all the hats, though. :/ It's just a fun tactical game. The humor is usually pretty good, though I didn't like all of it, but humor is very subjective. Heist II is more customizable than the first one, because of all the characters you can recruit and the weapons you can equip to change classes. I was afraid this would make the game grindy, but it didn't. Having to replay certain missions I didn't get all the stars for on my first try was enough. The game is also quite pretty and the music by Steam Powered Giraffe is awesome!

Overall, I had a blast with the game. Highly recommended, but go for the first one first if you've never played it and you're curious. I heard the series is on hold and might never see another game? That would be very sad. Long live the SteamWorld franchise!
