In this episode of the route learning series, we take a journey along the freeware Berks & Hants to Bristol & Penzance route. Set in the days of First Great Western, we follow the timetable of train 2F05, the 05:25 service from Bristol Temple Meads to Exmouth. This is a rare timetabled journey, as there is only one train per day in each direction which does this full through run from Bristol to Exmouth. Stops along the way include Weston-super-Mare, Highbridge & Burnham, Bridgewater, Taunton, Exeter St Davids, Exeter Central, St James Park, Polsloe Bridge, Digby & Sowton, Newcourt, Topsham, Exton, Lympstone Commando, Lympstone Village, and Exmouth.
