How many times have you looked at a design implementation and shook your head at your engineering counterpart, asking yourself yet again why it looks nothing like the Figma file you so meticulously crafted? As owners of Design Systems, we take pride in delivering well-crafted and easy-to-use Figma components to our customers. However, we often forget those customers include developers who will need to translate the endless Figma property panels into a sensible component API. In this talk, learn how we can unintentionally continue the cycle of miscommunication, and avoid turning our systems into building blocks that can never be fully assembled.
