The benefit of doing positive reinforcement training to teach step up is that the bird will learn to come over voluntarily, when called.
I want to share my progress training a Sun Conure. He is doing great!
During my first week with the Conure, he got comfortable taking treats from my hand and got used to the new environment.
During the second week, we did target training.
And during the third week, he is learning to step up!
