The SUDEXPRESS EuroDual is an exceptional model that brings a fresh addition to the world of modern European railways. Representing the innovative Stadler EuroDual, a real-world dual-mode locomotive capable of operating on both electric and diesel power, SUDEXPRESS has delivered a detailed and well-engineered rendition for model railway enthusiasts.

SUDEXPRESS has done a remarkable job replicating the powerful presence of the real EuroDual. The model features crisp body detailing, accurate dimensions, and well-defined roof equipment. The separately applied metal handrails, fine etched grilles, and detailed bogies contribute to an overall premium feel. The underframe components, including realistic piping and access hatches, showcase the attention to detail that SUDEXPRESS has invested in this model.

Paint application is flawless, with sharp color separations, correct railway logos, and subtle warning signs, making the model both visually appealing and prototypically accurate.

Performance and Running Characteristics

One of the standout aspects of the SUDEXPRESS EuroDual is its smooth and powerful running performance. Equipped with a strong motor and dual flywheels, the locomotive provides excellent slow-speed control as well as ample power to haul long freight trains. The model’s weight ensures good traction, reducing the need for additional wheel traction aids.

Both DC and DCC versions are available, with the latter including a factory-fitted sound decoder. The sound-equipped version offers a rich, deep engine note for both electric and diesel modes, with realistic horn sounds, compressor noises, and dynamic brake effects. The sound package is highly detailed and adds an extra layer of immersion to operations.
