Master of the tambú drum giving a demonstration enjoy, he is one in a Milion! He is playing the original Tambú rhythm this is an afro-curaçao-en rhythm. This is the foundation of most of our popular music in the caribbean area, And also of Venezuela's tambor. I studied some of the tambor rhythms and i find it to have a lot in common with our tambú, most experts would agree that it all came from Africa back in the slave day's,It spread to all our neighboring islands trough Curaçao. This is a beautifull way to express love for life, and to get away with stress and bad spirits (fuku). If you let it this rhytm will lift you're day! and so do all the rhytms of pure African origen.
Mòrti is a true Tambulero virtuoso and one of the last of this sort. Ta di Djudju was the best ever he past away before i was born, i have some tapes of him amazing speed and melody.
