Purdue University Tornado Siren Test - Federal Signal Eclipse 8 - 11/2/2024

It's been a while since I last recorded a siren, so I decided to record Purdue's sirens for their monthly test. Instead of filming from the ground, I filmed from the University Street Parking Garage like I did back in February. I didn't have my camera gear with me, so I had to film this one by hand. The test just so happened to land on the same day as the Purdue VS Northwestern football game (which Purdue lost as per usual), so a ton of people were visiting campus. Needless to say, a lot of people got confused about what all the noise was. At 1:56, someone walking by asked me what was going on, so I told them it was a test. Overall, this test was average. The ambience at the start was cool, though.

Information:
-Sirens Heard: Multiple Federal Signal 2001s and Eclipse 8s at varying distances. The siren seen in the video is an Eclipse 8 mounted on the roof of the Pharmacy Building
-Camera: Samsung Galaxy S23 Smartphone Integrated Cameras
-Purdue University/Tippecanoe County tests their sirens at 11:00AM on the first Saturday of the month, weather permitting.
