EP #08 - 2023 - Heftiger Sturm und eine Brücke die uns fast zum Verhängnis wird

Wir waren echt noch geschockt von den Ereignissen des Vortrages. Der Sturm kostete uns insgesamt 4 Fender und hatte ja einen Einsatz vom Rettungskreuzer zur Folge.
Wir haben also auch mal für echtes Hafenkino gesorgt.
Da wir an dem Fähranleger nicht bleiben durften, mussten wir einen sehr sicheren Hafen die nächsten Tage suchen, denn das massive Sturmtief mit Troglage war im Anmarsch auf die schwedische Westküste.
Und wir mittendrin, mit nur noch wenigen Fendern an Bord.
Die Wahl für auf die für schwedische Verhältnisse schon relativ große Stadt Lysekil.
Auf dem Weg dahin passieren wir erneut das so malerische Hamburgsund und den Sotenkanal.
Im Internet haben wir gelesen, dass die Brücke bei Smögen höher als die offizielle Angabe ist.
Wir wagen also eine Durchfahrt durch eine Brücke, deren offizielle Durchfahrtshöhe um 1 m niedriger ist, als unsere Masthöhe.
Nervenkitzel pur.
Der für uns in Lysekil reservierte Liegeplatz war ein schlechter Scherz.
Wir sollten hinter einem Dampfschiff im Industriehafen auflandig mit Autoreifen liegen.

AUF KEINEN FALL.

Wir mussten irgendwie noch im schon vollen Yachthafen unter kommen.
Es folgte das mit Abstand schwierigste Anlegemanöver in unserem Leben.
Die einzige mögliche Lücke war nur ca. 1 m länger als die MarYSol, eine Anfahrt im klassischen Sinne aufgrund der schon festliegenden Schiffe nicht mehr möglich.

We were still really shocked by the events of the lecture. The storm cost us a total of 4 fenders and resulted in the rescue cruiser.
So we also provided some real harbor cinema. As we were not allowed to stay at the ferry pier, we had to look for a very safe harbor for the next few days, because of the massive storm depression
was approaching the Swedish west coast.
And we were right in the middle of it, with only a few fenders left on board.
The choice fell on to Lysekil, which ist relatively a large town of Schweden.
On the way there, we once again pass the picturesque Hamburgsund and the Soten Canal.
We read on the Internet that the bridge at Smögen is higher than officially stated.
So we dare to drive through a bridge whose official clearance height is 1 m lower than our mast height. Pure adrenalin
The berth reserved for us in Lysekil was a bad joke. We were supposed to moor behind a steamship in the industrial harbor onshore with car tires.

NO WAY.

We had to find a place in the already full marina somehow.
What followed was by far the most difficultiest mooring maneuver in
our lives.
The only possible gap was just about 1 m longer than the MarYSol, so it was no longer possible to approach in a traditional way because of all the already moored ships.

Using a modified version of the "fisherman's maneuver", we moored the MarYSol safely alongside and were able to wait for the approaching storm with winds of over 50 knots.
