Chimney Canyon, San Rafael Swell, Utah - A solo overlanding 4WD journey through Utah's Last Chance Desert to a beautiful and very remote canyon overlook. Chimney Canyon is surrounded by a stunning desert and populated with mountain views. Nearby is Cedar Mountain, to the south and east are the Henry’s, and to the west, in the Fishlake National Forest, are Boulder, Thousand Lakes, and the Mytoge Mountains. Bordering Chimney Canyon to the south and east is the vast Muddy Creek Wilderness, so If you enjoy panoramic desert vistas this is the place to go. This is a relatively mild, high clearance trail, when dry, but like all Southern Utah desert roads it can become impassable after storms.
