Swanage Railway | 7th August 2025

During a holiday to very sunny Dorset during the usual annual August holiday my family and I go on. A day was decided to enjoy a new heritage railway I had yet to travel on and enjoy.... The Swanage Railway!

As far as I am aware I have never travelled on the railway before so this was a must have for when I was down south. During the day we visited it was the usual Summer timetable with SR U Class 31806 and Class 33 D6515. Both of these locos I have already seen within the past month with 31806 at the Mid-Norfolk and D6515 at the Greatest Gathering which the loco itself only arrived back home, midnight on Thursday.

Also seen at Swanage was a loco I was dying to see, LSWR T3 563 in its brilliant livery. Also Class 33 33053 which just arrived at the railway to assist in the diesel fleet and also to cover for the failure of visiting Class 20 20066.

This video covers both sets out in service and at all stations. Also a few bonus shots of Bullied Pacific's 34072 and 34028, the latter being prepared for testing for its mainline equipment. As well as a mini behind the loco with D6515 from Corfe Castle to Norden.
