On May 31, 1973, Bruce Springsteen performed at Alpha Sound Studios in Richmond, VA. It was Bruce's second known radio show, broadcast live by WGOE-AM 1590 via a remote link. The small audience in the studio included DJ, Mike Appel, Jim Cretecos, Albee Tellone, and David Sancious, who hadn't yet joined the band but was working at the studio at the time. The setlist for this historic performance included: "Satin Doll (Duke Ellington)", "Does this Bus Stop at 82nd Street?", "Circus Song", "Growin' Up", "New York Song" and "You Mean So Much to Me".
