*-Ravel left left-hand concerto is colorful, jazzy, and still an impressionistic concerto.
So I've always wanted to add this concerto to my repertoire and I am very happy that I'll perform this piece for the first time this week with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Gustavo.

*How do you convey emotion with just one hand? 어떻게 한손으로 감정을 표현할 수 있을까요?

-Well, there's still plenty of notes for the left hand.
However, like the way singers convey a huge range of emotions using only a few notes, I believe that the quantity of notes doesn't impact the expression of music.

-I don't have any tips or advice because I'm still in the position that I need to receive some tips or advice.

What's your favorite part of this concerto?
이 협주곡에서 당신이 가장 좋아하는 부분은 어느곳인가요?

-There are so many elements in this concerto, in this middle section it's very jazzy and there a long two cadenzas that are dramatic, dark, and still impressionistic.
So, I can't say which part is my favorite, but it is so well written, you can hear the clear structure. So yeah, it's hard to say.
이 협주곡에는 아주 많은 요소들이 있는데, 마치 이 중간 부분이 아주 재미있고, 극적이고, 어둡고, 여전히 인상적인 두 개의 카덴자가 있습니다. 그래서 어떤 부분이 제일 마음에 드는지는 잘 표현이 안 되는데 너무 잘 쓰여 있어서 구조가 명확하게 들리기 때문에 뭐라고 말씀드리기가 어려워요.

-Actually at night, but I can't because of my neighbors.

-Well, as a pianist, solo piano music, as a listener, symphonic works.
