Kant’s Engines of Thought: Synthesis and Apperception

The argument I wanted to put forward is that metaphysics struggles because judgment operates in undecidable terrain, though it still seeks sustainable paths. I used the metaphor of a thermodynamic machine to make the synthetic a priori more tangible — categories as gears sorting between collapse and projection. The engraving-style visuals were meant to give form to this machinery of thought, while Yusef Lateef’s The Plum Blossom provided a rhythm that made it feel alive. My hope is simply that the combination of sound and image helps Kant’s Copernican Revolution appear less as a doctrine and more as an ongoing event of reason.
