As a local DJ who grew up on West Coast Hip Hop, Tim comes into this with deep respect for lyricism, flow, and freestyle culture… and let’s just say, Ren absolutely blows his mind.

I had seen this performance before starting the channel, and it still stands as one of my all-time favorites. Ren’s genius is undeniable here — the wordplay, the cadence shifts, the confidence, the musicality. This isn’t just freestyling; it’s mastery. So many moments from this session live rent-free in my head because it’s just that catchy and that sharp.

Watching this again with Tim made me appreciate it on an even deeper level. Ren doesn’t just rap — he commands the space. Every bar lands with intention, and the skill on display is undeniable. If you love hip hop, lyricism, or watching someone operate at the top of their craft, this one is special.
