CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE CAKE RECIPE

COOKIE DOUGH

2 cups Unsalted Butter
2 cups Sugar
1 cups Brown Sugar
2 large Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 Tbs Whole Milk
3 ½ cups All Purpose Flour
½ tsp Baking Powder
2 cups Semisweet Chocolate Chip

Preheat oven to 350F

Place butter and sugar in a bowl with the paddle attachment and mix until the light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time and continue to mix until incorporated. Add vanilla and milk and mix until incorporated. Add flour and baking powder all at once and mix for 30 seconds. Add chips and mix until combined.

Separate batter into 3 greased cake pans and bake for 15-20 minutes or until desired doneness.

VANILLA ICING

2 cups Unsalted Butter
5 cups Powdered Sugar
1 Tbs Vanilla Extract
¼ tsp Sea Salt
3 Tbs Water (room temp)

Put the butter in the bowl of a standing mixture fitted with a paddle attachment and mix on low speed until the butter is smooth. With the motor running add the sugar 1 cup at a time. Stop the motor and add vanilla and salt. Paddle on medium speed until completely incorporated and smooth, approximately 2 minutes. Add the water and mix until light and fluffy.
