Create an Elegant Swirled Rose Buttons from Soutache / Button making tutorial

In this video, I'll show you how to make a pretty soutache braid (aka Russia braid) button—perfect for coats and other couture items. The design is based on vintage examples, and the centre resembles a swirly rose.

I have used:
25mm plastic ring mould (No 221 in our shop)
1.1m soutache braid
scissors, needle, thread
felt (for the back)
optional: glue

Larger rings or shaped moulds will require more soutache braid.
