Join Dan Nadeau as he uses nonlinear solution 402 for a badge clip model demo. In this session, we will be setting up an analysis to run solution 402, a new non-linear capability in NX Nastran. This analysis will include large displacements to take advantage of geometric nonlinearity as well as contact conditions that change during the analysis. Basic static analysis and 402 without the large displacement parameter do not account for changing contact conditions.
We will analyze this model using 3 different solutions:
Linear Static (101)
Multi-Step Nonlinear (402)
Multi-Step Nonlinear with Large Displacements (402)
