4K CABVIEW: Nordic Midsummer Night Train Ride on the South Line!

Join me on this Nordic Midsummer Night Train Ride as we go travel through the NIght on the South Line (Sørlandsbanen) from Langemyr in Kristiansand to the Freight Terminal at Alnabru in Oslo.

Even with shifting weather from overcast to heavy rain the Nordic nights are always bright as it never really gets dark here.

The Southline was built in multiple stages, where the first part was Oslo - Drammen that opened in 1872, Drammen - Kongsberg i 1871, Kongsberg - Kristiansand was built 1920 - 1938, and Egersund - Stavanger was built in 1878. The completion of the line was done by the German occupying forces during World War 2, and the the completion and opening of the line was done on May 1st 1944.
