When Michael Phelps set out to break Mark Spitz's record of seven gold medals in a single Olympic Games, he knew that there were going to be some serious hurdles standing in his way. But perhaps none was to be greater than the final of the Men's 4x100m freestyle relay at the summer Olympics 2008 in Beijing where Team USA were clear underdogs against the mighty French team, led by soon-to-be World Record holder Alain Bernard.
