26,100 Squats in 24 Hours for Charity! | World Record Attempt

On April 4th 2024 Tony Piraino of Decatur Illinois was supported by his community while he squatted thousands and thousands of times. Tony was trying to break a world record for the most air squats 24 hours. His goal was 26,000 squats in 24 hours - an average pace of 22 per minute with some longer scheduled breaks every few hours. He started at 5am on April 4th surrounded by witnesses and supporters and continued grinding all through the night finishing at 5am on April 5th surrounded by a gym full or supporters cheering him on. By 5am he had completed 26,100 squats to unofficially break the record. Here's the deal though, it was all to raise money and awareness for the residents of The Marion County Horizon Center of Decatur and Macon County. The Marion County Horizon Center provides quality independent housing for individuals with developmental disabilities and the funds raised will go directly towards life fulfilling activities for the residents.
