What to see in Catania, Sicily, Italy

On this episode of You, Me and Sicily we take you around the Province of Catania. We start in the downtown historic section, with the Duomo dedicated to Saint Agatha, the famous fish market , Teatro Bellini, the public garden and Roman ruins.

Next we explore Caltagirone one of the premier ceramic towns in Sicily. Off we go to the villages of Mount Etna including Via Grande, Aci Catena and Acitrezza. Her ashes act as a fertilizer and so there are plentiful produce. But she also destroys with the eruption of 1669. The region has also endured several earthquakes.
We highlight the Octoberfest in Zafferana Etnea and Carnival in Acireale. Bronte is the king of pistachios and you can not miss Acitrezza and Aci Castello.
