Head of Sinbad in Utah’s San Rafael Swell is home to some of the most vivid and striking pictographs in the American Southwest. Though there are only a few panels, some of the ancient designs—believed to be in the Barrier Canyon Style—are so well-preserved, it’s hard to believe they’ve lasted this long.
Located about 40 miles west of Green River, this site sits at the southern edge of Locomotive Point, also known as Locomotive Point Pictographs.
Access: Requires a high-clearance 4x4 due to loose sand and uneven terrain, or you can park and hike to the site.
