Welcome back to Joshua Tree National Park!
In today’s video, I’m closing out my time in this beautiful desert by exploring some of its most iconic rock formations — Skull Rock, Face Rock, and Split Rock.

This part of the park is packed with massive, otherworldly boulders and winding trails that make you feel small in the best kind of way. I set out to hike a 2.77-mile loop through the heart of it all — passing historic water troughs, ancient volcanic rock, and desert landscapes that seem frozen in time.

Along the way, I stopped to admire Skull Rock right off the road, found the hidden Face Rock (you have to see it from the right angle!), and spent a few rare, quiet moments alone at Split Rock — one of my favorite memories from the day.

If you're planning a trip to Joshua Tree, this hike is absolutely worth adding to your list. It’s easy, scenic, and full of those magical desert moments that stick with you long after you’ve left.

Make sure to pack your sun protection, bring extra water, and keep an eye on the trails — it’s easy to get turned around out here if you’re not paying attention.
