This 1967 Buick Sales Ideas training film explains many features of the new '67 GS 340. The dealer organization training films were used to educate the dealership sales staff about the new models. It was originally a filmstrip with the sound coming from a companion 33 rpm vinyl record that contained beeps to indicate when to advance to the next slide.
Pay attention and you will hear the narrator mention that the GS 340 was built on the 2-door hardtop body which is correct for all of the production model GS 340s but when the Arctic White GS 340 is shown in the film you can see that it is a preproduction model built with a 2-door sedan body.
Also note that all of the cars shown in the film have the early production 3-piece front wheel opening moldings. By the time the GS 340 was finally released for regular production Buick had already transitioned to the 2-piece trim set.
A total of 3,692 GS 340s were produced at four assembly plants:
Baltimore: 609
Flint: 1,995
Kansas City: 755
Fremont: 333
699 built with the optional Rally Pac suspension (called Rally Road Control Package on the order form)
20 built with a power bench seat
