Our very own Mad Bess made the long trip to North Wales to feature in the Fairbourne Miniature Railway's summer steam gala which was held over the weekend of May 25th – 27th 2024.
She traveled on the lorry with the Fairbourne’s locomotive ‘Sherpa’ which had been at our railway for our own steam gala earlier in the month. With Mad Bess’s design being of the Quarry Hunslet type steam loco and a half scale model of Blanche on the Ffestiniog Railway, it was great to see her operating at Fairbourne in what we like to think is her spiritual home.
