my 10 year youtube anniversary: healing, burnout & starting over 📔✏️🌸

today is my 29th birthday. it’s also around my 10 year anniversary on YouTube. i made a little video talking about where i’ve been lately.

i was already spread too thin before endometriosis ravaged my body. in 2024 i was juggling 2 full time jobs with content creation and the business. i was also writing and publishing my first book at the time, the longest and most taxing project i’d been on. i’d barely sleep or eat because i’d be working dusk til dawn pivoting between hand making jewelry, packaging orders, editing YouTube videos and submitting excerpts to publishers before deadlines.

in our first year of business meide had done so well that i was able to scale up and hire a small team. but as the days i called in sick increased, i quickly realized that the state of my health was spiraling out of control. the constant state of stress on my already weakened body had led to flareups that would send me to hospitals and emergency rooms. as i pulled back from work to prioritize physical therapy and doctor’s appointments, all the milestones i’d reached felt completely erased.

in my 20’s i joined every project i could possibly think of, with nothing but determination and passion fueling me. as i approach my 30’s, my health and state of wellbeing is something i have to consider much more now. i’m taking the time to finally slow down and reconsider how i approach life now that i have a chronic illness. as i continue to navigate through what feels like the endless trials of girlhood, i can’t express my gratitude and appreciation enough. whether this is your first video or your 300th, thank you for following along my little journey.
