Camped on cold Springs Maw and Paw came up the next morning for breakfast. Then we dropped their truck at the rest area then headed up Hurricane Creek to Max Patch back down Cold Springs crossed under 40. Then up Buzzards Roost to Mount Sterling, found a gate there had to back track to 247 took it up and around and back into Mount Sterling stayed on it until Chattahoochee Turnpike. Headed to the trailhead at the Elk viewing area for some maple spam for supper then headed back to pick up the Tacoma from the rest area and headed home.
We did a time lapse of the whole trip in this video. We slowed it down roughly frame by frame so you could see the whole trail and trail conditions. This was filmed March 2nd 2024 #getoutside
