Marivere Gati –The Ultimate Hope

Marivere Gati is a composition of Shyama Shastri in Raaga Ananda Bhairavi. He has composed a number of beautiful songs in this raga making it his very own. Shyama Shastri was a great devotee of Goddess Kamakshi and like many of his compositions, Marivere Gati is another pearl at the lotus feet of Goddess Bangaru Kamakshi of Tanjore, the Goddess of the temple where he was the priest. The poet says, ‘who else? if not you’ and pleads constantly for her to show compassion.
Navaratri being the most celebrated festival in the country, truly is a celebration of feminine energy and here we are, presenting the series “Navārnival”-The Synergy of Dance & Music.This is a humble attempt ,which essentially takes compositions of Carnatic music, and adds a flavour of contemporary elements of music to tap into every beat of today’s connoisseurs.
The Ultimate hope is the last of the series. There is a glimpse of lo-fi music brewed along with the classic composition in order to bring out the authentic flavour of ananda bhairavi .
