From the Inside Out: How God’s Love Shapes Our Future

What does it really mean to be changed from the inside out? In this week’s message, we continue our Shaping Our Future series by exploring the call of Romans 12—learning to look inward and discover how God’s love transforms us.

Drawing on the imagery of superheroes and a powerful moment from *The Avengers*, we see how even the strongest heroes need to embrace who they truly are in order to make a difference. In the same way, followers of Jesus are called to embrace their God-given identity, their gifts, and their place in the Body of Christ.

Paul reminds us that real transformation begins by offering ourselves as a living sacrifice—heart, soul, mind, and strength. This isn’t about chasing the world’s patterns, but about being renewed and reshaped by God’s Spirit. When we learn to love and accept who God created us to be, we can then extend that same love, grace, and mercy to others.

Look back at God’s faithfulness.
Look inward to discover who we are in Christ.
Step forward into the future He is shaping for us.
Use our unique gifts to build up the church and serve others.
Live out a love that overcomes evil with good.
