November might feel as if the cosmos is serving up leftovers from the ghosts of the past. Thankfully, this déjà vu stew reminds us that there is more than one option on the menu. We can choose to eat an old but familiar meal, or we can use our creative potential and collective power to envision a future that is quite different from the present. The planets are in somewhat of a holding pattern as they replay old tunes that are losing their appeal now that the cosmic odd couple of practical Saturn and psychic Neptune are back drifting in the fog of mystifying Pisces. But there is an important lesson to learn about weaving the dream into reality that still feels elusive. Going within is more likely to provide us with the missing pieces of the puzzle if we slow down long enough to listen to our intuition.

An opening is possible as Jupiter holds a close trine to Saturn all month, but it won’t be exact until August 31, 2026. This is like a carrot dangling on a stick that we cannot yet reach. We long for the balance between expansion and contraction even if it is currently unattainable. Meanwhile, Mercury is retrograde from November 9 through November 29, adding to the proverbial Groundhog Day vibes which can leave us feeling stuck in the past or repeating old patterns. And although Jupiter joins the retrograde bunch (Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, and Neptune) on November 11, Saturn’s direct turn on November 27 stirs the energy and begins to methodically push us into new territory. Reestablishing healthy routines and redefining long-term goals require patience and practice.

Ultimately, there is plenty of change occurring even if we don’t see much progress. Assertive Mars enters adventurous Sagittarius on November 4, followed by the Sun on November 21, encouraging us to act on our highest ideals. Pleasure-seeking Venus leaves her home sign of airy Libra for a quick swim in the volatile waters of Scorpio on November 6 and then soars into Sagittarius on November 30. Retrograde Uranus backs into resolute Taurus on November 7, making sudden change more difficult. Retrograde Mercury in Sagittarius slips back into introspective Scorpio on November 18, prompting us to reflect on previous mistakes or ruminate on personal regrets. Letting go of what we can no longer change and forgiving ourselves are essential first steps in our healing journey.

The Taurus Full Moon on November 5 at 5:19 am PST suggests that balancing our need for simple pleasures is anything but simple in a world of complexity. Although this Full Moon lacks aspects, the passionate Scorpio Sun resists a retreat into denial, even though we are tempted. On the other hand, the Scorpio New Moon on November 19 at 10:47 pm PST is wired with its conjunction to Mercury. The Grand Water Trine awakens our idealism but Jupiter inspires fantasy and disconnection. Additionally, this New Moon opposes electric Uranus, triggering impulsive reactions. Telling the truth is admirable, but once we deliver our message, we can’t take it back. Listen more; talk less.

Extremism is our greatest enemy now as it solidifies boundaries that are largely based upon fear. The long-lasting Chiron-Eris conjunction in Aries (from May 2025 through March 2026) activates old wounds—individual and collective—empowering us to reclaim our lost voices and assert our will with intention. Unfortunately, we may be tempted to exclude the disenfranchised by silencing any disruptors. Jupiter forms a slow-moving square to Eris on November 2 and November 25, inflating our confidence about the consequences of our actions. Adding to the intensity, a Grand Water Trine flows in and out of resonance all month as the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars each take turns re-stimulating the Jupiter-Saturn trine. Meanwhile, the confusion between fact and fiction is still in the picture as realistic Saturn and romantic Neptune continue to dance together, slowly heading toward their exact meeting on February 20, 2026. Our emotional self-containment offers a bit of stability in these unstable times but it’s essential to keep our minds and hearts open to possibilities more than ever before.
