on July 26, NYSP Major Freddy Ghost, stopped a truck for not using a blinker when merging, he later found out that that truck was stolen and did a felony stop, when the officers showed up they arrested the two in the front, what they didn't know was someone in the trailer hiding with a MG when officers attempted to search the back of the truck, they were greeted by 100's of bullets, they all went for cover while the other two tried to break free of their cuffs, they succeeded in that. They then went back to the truck and drove off, the officers engaged in a 10-80 the driver of the truck drove into Madison county where he later crashed, the officers only armed with pistols were under heavy fire power due to the criminals having a MG and Assault Rifles, they requested back up. Sheriff John Maddens arrived within 20 seconds, one of the suspects tried to get away, in the process an officer got hit and the second officer had to let him get away to save his comrade.
