On Friday night 24/07 I was planning where to go to capture some more class 86s, and I thought what's going on no trains showing on RTT for Atherstone.
So I looked at my local station Marston Green and had a great surprise to see all was being diverted past my local stations.
So I was out at 06.00 to try and get some new MK 5 sleepers I needed, and I was lucky to get three which I needed out of nine.
It did remind me of the weekend when the Pope came to Coventry years ago, but then it was loads of class 81s 85s and 86s as most of the day trains were only travelling at 30mph playing follow the leader, and in this video you will see I only got bowled once.
The WCML was closed between Stafford and Rugby all weekend.
