In this video Arek from Cross-Skating.pl shows two fundamentals of off-road cross-skating: a stable single-leg glide and driving from the core instead of the arms. Learn how to align your body in a straight line (toes – knee – hip – shoulder – chin), why leaning back kills control, and how to lock the shoulder girdle into a “frame” so you stop paddling with the poles. Key sequence: head slightly leads the hands, core initiates, poles only transfer force.
What you will see:
Balance drill: single-leg “photo” position and glide.
How to use poles: stable shoulders, core-driven hinge, head - hands.
Quick training tip: use a balancer to improve stability and feel of support.
