Pye Bridge Junction (Ironville Jn Alfreton) on 13th July 1992
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Pye Bridge Junction south of The Alfreton Tunnels now known as Ironville Jn taken on 13/07/1992. A massive amount of MGR traffic is seen passing most likely bound for Shirebrook in rather a short space of time. Filmed in the last hour or so of daylight , every time I went to call it a wrap for the day, another train would appear so our Fish and Chips went out of the alloted window. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
