Serenity Motor (Robert Adams or Reversed Mendocino or Bedini Motor)

This is a version of the Mendocino motor (or magnetic pulse motor) but does not use solar cells and it is easier to construct once you have the electronic circuit to drive an electromagnetic coil which is a fun project in itself. This motor has parts of several types of motors: Robert Adams electromagnetic pulse motor, the Mendocino motor, a simple brushless motor, and then it uses the form of the levitating magnet toys. So it is just a mishmash of stuff that comes out pretty neat. I call mine the Serenity Motor.
I have built a lot of gadgets over the years but this is the most fun one to have around and just give a twirl now and then.
Update Feb 24: added three more magnets to the rotor, replaced the drill bit pivot point with a smaller tip of a multi-tip screwdriver and the rotor is much more balanced and runs smoother and faster.
